Dr thom phillips

Thom is an NHS GP with postgraduate qualifications in diabetes and sports medicine. He is the metabolic health lead for his practice where he leads on Diabetes, Obesity and cardiovascular disease.

With a background in physiology, he has a fundamental understanding of the underlying processes that underlie many of the prevalent metabolic diseases that are prevalent in the population as a whole.

He has worked with government policymakers regarding the importance of nutrition to overall health and disease and is determined to continue to spread the importance of disease prevention through regular exercise and good nutrition.

Thom has published scientific journal articles in the area of inflammatory biomarkers and exercise as well as contributing to medical textbooks about the importance of sleep on health and wellbeing. He has also written chapters on the effects of medicines on exercise in the general population.

Thom works closely with leading experts in their respective fields to collaborate on getting excellent preventative care and staying up to date with the latest advances. For the last 6 years, he has been working with Forth, where he has brought this expertise to thousands of customers biomarker profiles to help improve their health.
