Can I send my sample during a Bank Holiday?

We advise against posting any samples during a Bank Holiday due to any potential delays within the postal service. 

June 2022 Update

For the week commencing 30th May, we highly advise to not send your sample until Monday 6th due to the two bank holidays on Thursday 2nd and Friday 3rd. If you need to send your sample during this week, please follow the relevant guidelines below.

MyFORM™

  • If you have a MyForm™ (originally known as Female Hormone Mapping) test and your day 14/21 falls on Tuesday 31st or Wednesday 1st, please collect the sample on Tuesday 31st.
  • If your day 14/21 falls on Thursday 2nd or Friday 3rd, please collect your sample on Sunday 5th and post your sample first thing on Monday morning into a priority postbox.
  • If your day 14/21 falls on Saturday 4th or Sunday 5th, please collect the sample on Monday 6th

 

DAY 3 TEST
If the requirement of your test is to collect your sample on day 3, the same applies as above.

  • If your day 3 falls on Tuesday 31st or Wednesday 1st, please collect the sample on Tuesday 31st.
  • If your day 3 falls on Thursday 2nd or Friday 3rd, please collect your sample on Sunday 5th and post your sample first thing on Monday morning into a priority postbox.
  • If your day 3 falls on Saturday 4th or Sunday 5th, please collect the sample on Monday 6th.

 

DAY 21 OR PROGESTERONE TEST
For test kits which include Progesterone, the day of collection will depend on the length of your cycle.

  • If your cycle is less than 28 days, and your day 21 falls over the bank holiday weekend, please collect the sample on Tuesday 31st.
  • If your cycle is usually more than 28 days and your day 21 falls over the bank holiday weekend, please collect the sample on Monday 6th.​

If you would prefer to wait until your next menstrual cycle to collect your sample, then this is no problem.

 

NON DAY SPECIFIC TESTS
We advise against posting any samples during week commencing May 30th due to any potential delays in the postal service, however we do understand customers may wish to continue to collect the sample. If you wish to proceed during this week, please collect your sample and post into a priority postbox on Monday 30th or Tuesday 31st.

 

PLEASE NOTE
​Posting between Wednesday 1st to Sunday 5th may result in your sample not reaching the lab in a reasonable time and being unable to provide a result. We would highly recommend all samples are posted into a priority post box.
