Food is the fuel that ensures your body works to its best, and registered dietician Renee McGregor brings twenty years’ experience working in clinical and performance nutrition to Forth.
A leader in the field of sports nutrition, she has worked with the UK London 2012 Olympic, Rio 2016 Paralympic and Queensland 2018 Commonwealth games teams.
As well as sitting on the RED-S (Relative Energy Deficiency in Sport) advisory board for the British Association of Sport and Exercise Science, she works with a number of governing bodies including Scottish Gymnastics, the GB 24-hour Running Team and Scottish Ballet.
In addition to her role as nutritional lead for Forth, Renee is an author and contributing expert to print and broadcast media, including Newsnight and BBC 5 Live.
Renee is a keen ultra runner, favouring mountainous terrain. A self-confessed adrenaline junkie, multi-day stage races that push her abilities in tough conditions are her passion, and her plans for 2020 had included a 5-day race in the Himalayas, reaching altitudes of up to 5,000 meters.
