*A negative test indicates that no cancer cells were detected at the time the test was taken. This does not mean that you will not develop cancer in the future. Please also note that this test has 88% sensitivity, this means it will correctly detect cancer in 88 people out of 100 with early signs of cancer. This test should not be considered as a replacement to participating in any NHS screening programmes.
Yes – the TruCheck™ at-home blood test checks for over 70 types of cancer in your body, including in your thyroid, lungs, breasts, liver and more.
TruCheck™ identifies circulating tumour cells (CTCs) and clusters of these cells, which are released into the bloodstream by malignant tumours. These markers are not present in normal, benign, or inflammatory tissues, allowing for accurate cancer detection through a simple blood sample.

Why do I need an initial call with a doctor?
The Trucheck™ Early Cancer Detection test can only be taken following a screening process conducted by a healthcare professional to check your eligibility to take the test.
What does the cancer test check?
Trucheck™ detects circulating tumour cells (CTCs) and clusters of these CTCs which are released by malignant tumours, but not from non-cancerous (normal / benign tumour / inflammatory) tissue.
How accurate is the TruCheck cancer test?
The TruCheck™ cancer screening test has been validated on over 40,000 participants and delivers highly reliable results. It has an 88% sensitivity in detecting cancers across all stages and types, meaning it correctly identifies cancer in 88 out of 100 cases. Additionally, the test has a 96% accuracy in determining the specific tissue or organ where the cancer originated in positive cases, providing critical insights for follow-up care.
When will my kit be dispatched?
Your blood sample kit will be dispatched once you’ve completed your screening call with our doctor. It will be sent via Tracked 24 delivery.
When will I get my results?
You’ll receive your results within 2-3 weeks of the lab receiving your sample.
How do I find out my results are ready?
We keep you updated throughout the process by email and text message.
We will let you know when your sample has arrived at our lab. Once the sample has been analysed one of our doctors will review your results.
If your result is positive (circulating tumour cells (CTCs) have been detected), one of our doctors will call you to discuss your results and next steps.
If your results are negative, we’ll email you and send you a text message to let you know your results are ready for you to view in your health dashboard.
Can I arrange my own phlebotomy collection?
Yes. If you do not want to use our mobile nurse or clinic service, you can arrange your own blood sample collection. Please remember for your safety your venous blood sample should only be drawn by an appropriately trained medical professional. The blood sample kit we provide will contain everything needed to collect the sample.
Does pancreatic cancer show in blood tests?
Yes, pancreatic cancer can be detected through a blood test with TruCheck™. The test identifies circulating tumour cells (CTCs) – cancer cells that are shed from malignant tumours into the bloodstream. Since these CTCs are not present in non-cancerous conditions, their detection provides a reliable indication of pancreatic cancer, even in its early stages.
Does bladder cancer show up in blood tests?
Yes, bladder cancer can show up in blood tests using TruCheck™. The test works by detecting circulating tumour cells (CTCs) and clusters of these cells, which are released by cancerous tumours into the bloodstream. This non-invasive method allows for the detection of bladder cancer without the need for more invasive diagnostic procedures.
Does stomach cancer show up in blood tests?
Yes, stomach cancer can be detected in blood tests with TruCheck™. The test looks for circulating tumour cells (CTCs), which enter the bloodstream as a result of malignant tumours. By identifying these CTCs, TruCheck™ can detect stomach cancer across different stages, often before symptoms become severe.
Does bowel cancer show in blood tests?
Yes, bowel cancer (also known as colorectal cancer) can be identified through a blood test with TruCheck™. The test detects circulating tumour cells (CTCs) released into the bloodstream by cancerous growths in the colon or rectum. Since these cells are not present in benign or inflammatory conditions, TruCheck™ offers a reliable way to screen for bowel cancer.
If my blood tests are normal, can I still have cancer?
While a normal result on the TruCheck™ cancer screening test is reassuring, it doesn’t completely rule out the possibility of cancer. The test has an 88% sensitivity, meaning it correctly detects cancer in 88 out of 100 cases. However, there is still a small chance that cancer might not be detected, especially in its very early stages or in rare cases where circulating tumour cells (CTCs) are not present in the bloodstream.
If you have persistent symptoms or risk factors, it’s important to consult with your doctor for further evaluation, even if your blood test results are normal. Regular screenings and follow-ups are key to early detection and peace of mind.
How do I view my results?
When you buy your test, we will ask you to create an account during the checkout process. This will give you access to your own, secure health dashboard where you can view your results.
Can I download the results to share with my GP?
Yes, you can download your results from your health dashboard as a PDF to share with your GP. However, if your result is positive we’ll provide you with a letter to share with your GP.
How secure is my data?
We have strict processes in place to ensure the protection of your data. Following GDPR the company also operates under tight legal rules about the sharing of data which ensures that data is only shared if it is crucial to the delivery of our service. For example, our doctors see customer results at the time of review, however, after review, access to results is withdrawn.
