Our general health home blood tests help you understand and improve your overall health, whether that’s improving your immune health or getting to the bottom of low energy. Our Baseline Health Check is our most popular health test, checking 23 markers across your energy, immune health, heart health, liver and nutrition, including vitamin D, ferritin and B12.
Our at-home blood tests only require a small amount of blood. It’s easy to collect at home using the fingerprick lancets included in the kits, or at one of our clinics. Dr Thom Phillips, one of our expert medical team, put together a helpful video on how to collect your blood sample. Once you’ve collected the sample, you post it back to our NHS labs for analysis. We aim to get your results back to you within 2 working days.
This is what our customers ask us about the most. For more information, try our help centre.
What’s the difference between the Baseline Blood Test, Advanced Health Check and Ultimate Health Check?
Each test builds on the last in terms of depth and number of biomarkers. The Baseline Blood Test covers essential health markers, the Advanced Health Check adds more detailed insights and the Ultimate Health Check offers our most comprehensive analysis across multiple systems of the body.
How do I choose the right general health test for me?
It depends on how much insight you’re looking for. If you’re after a routine health check, the Baseline Blood Test is ideal. If you want a deeper understanding of your hormone balance, nutritional health, and key health risks, the Advanced or Ultimate tests offer broader insights.
Do I need to fast before taking these tests?
We recommend collecting a blood sample within 3 hours of waking and before you eat.
Can I take these tests at home?
Yes – all tests can be done at home, but the Advanced Health Check and Ultimate Health Check require a venous draw. We can arrange for a trained phlebotomist to visit you at home to collect your sample. Choose your collection method at checkout.
How quickly will I get my results?
Once your sample reaches our lab, results are usually available in your online dashboard within 2 working days for the Baseline Blood Test and Advanced Health Check. As the Ultimate Health Check contains Omega 6:3 Ratio, results take a bit longer to be released, usually within 15 working days of your sample reaching our lab.
Will my results be explained to me?
Absolutely. Your results come with an easy-to-understand health report, including Health Scores, personalised comments from a registered doctor, and clear next steps.
What does the Ultimate Health Check include that the others don’t?
The Ultimate Health Check is our most comprehensive test, offering everything in the Advanced Health Check plus additional insights across thyroid health, immunity, and essential nutrients.
It includes thyroid antibodies (TPO and TG), electrolytes like sodium and chloride, the Omega-6 to Omega-3 ratio, and key antioxidant vitamins including Vitamin A and Vitamin E.
Can these tests help me spot early signs of health problems?
Yes. Regular testing helps identify imbalances or risk factors before symptoms appear – giving you time to make proactive changes to support long-term health.
Do these tests check for vitamin and mineral deficiencies?
Yes, these tests are a great way to check and monitor your nutritional health. Our Nutricheck – Vitamin Deficiency Test is designed to give you a complete nutrition report.
Are these tests suitable for women and men?
Yes – our general health blood tests are designed for all genders. We also offer hormone-specific add-ons if you’d like to explore more in that area.
How often should I take a general health blood test?
We recommend testing every 3–6 months to track changes and monitor improvements, especially if you’re making lifestyle or diet changes.
Are these tests suitable if I have a specific health concern?
These tests are great for giving an overall picture. If you’re concerned about a specific issue, we recommend telling us about it in your account. The more information we have, the more we can help. Our doctors read profiles carefully to make sure the feedback and advice they give is relevant to you.
What happens if something is flagged in my results?
Our doctors will highlight anything out of range and recommend the next steps, whether that’s lifestyle advice, a GP visit, or further testing.
Are the labs you use accredited?
Yes – all samples are analysed in UKAS-accredited and CQC-registered laboratories, used by the NHS.
