Dr Thom Phillips
BSc. (Hons) MSc. MB BCh. MRCGP. Dip SEM. PGCert (Diabetes)
Thom is an NHS GP with postgraduate qualifications in diabetes and sports medicine. He specialises in metabolic health, with a particular focus on Diabetes, Obesity, and Cardiovascular Disease.
Additionally, he has a special interest in women’s health and is a certified member of the British Menopause Society, offering expert guidance on perimenopause, menopause, and broader hormonal health.
With a background in physiology, Thom has a deep understanding of the underlying processes that contribute to many prevalent metabolic and hormonal conditions. He has worked with government policymakers to highlight the importance of nutrition in overall health and disease prevention and remains committed to promoting proactive healthcare through regular exercise, good nutrition, and lifestyle interventions.
Thom has published scientific journal articles on inflammatory biomarkers and exercise, as well as contributing to medical textbooks on the impact of sleep on health and wellbeing. He has also written chapters exploring the effects of medications on exercise in the general population.
Committed to delivering leading preventive care, Thom collaborates with experts across various medical fields to stay at the forefront of healthcare advancements. For the last six years, he has worked with Forth, leveraging his expertise to support thousands of individuals in optimising their health through biomarker profiling.
