Your 40s are when the risks that matter most to men's health start to build, often without obvious warning signs. Testosterone begins to decline. Cardiovascular risk rises. Prostate health becomes a consideration. And the systems that regulate your energy, weight and mood can start to shift in ways that are hard to pin down.
This test measures 32 biomarkers across the areas most relevant to men as they age. You receive 6 Healthcoach Scores that turn your results into clear priorities and next steps, not just numbers, but a connected understanding of where you stand and what to do about
it.

Cholesterol (lipid profile)
Your cholesterol profile gives you a detailed picture of your cardiovascular health — not just a single number, but the full story of how your body is managing fat in the blood. Understanding the balance between different types of cholesterol and triglycerides means you can take targeted action to protect your heart long before any symptoms appear.
Liver Health
Your liver is one of the hardest-working organs in your body — filtering toxins, metabolising nutrients and producing essential proteins around the clock. These six markers reveal how well it's coping, picking up early signs of strain from diet, alcohol, medication or inflammation while they're still easy to address.
Kidney Health
Your kidneys quietly filter around 200 litres of blood every day, removing waste and keeping your body's fluid balance in check. These markers show how efficiently they're working — giving you an early warning signal for anything that might be putting them under pressure before you'd notice it yourself.
Inflammation
Inflammation is your body's natural defence mechanism — essential in the short term, but quietly damaging when it runs low-grade in the background. Measuring it alongside uric acid gives you a clearer read on your cardiovascular risk and how your body is responding to diet, lifestyle and stress.
Men's Health
These three markers sit at the core of male hormonal and prostate health. Testosterone drives energy, muscle mass, mood and libido — but it works in close relationship with oestradiol, which plays a more significant role in men's health than most people realise. PSA provides an important baseline for prostate health, supporting early detection when it matters most.
Thyroid Function
Your thyroid controls the rate at which your body converts food into energy. Even small imbalances in thyroid hormones can have a surprisingly wide impact — showing up as changes in weight, energy levels, mood and sleep quality. Together, TSH and FT4 give a clear, reliable picture of how well your thyroid is functioning.
Full Blood Count
Your blood tells a remarkably detailed story about how your body is functioning. Haemoglobin and red blood cell levels reveal how effectively oxygen is being carried around your body — a key factor in energy, concentration and physical recovery. White blood cell count gives an insight into how your immune system is working and whether your body may be fighting something off.
Vitamins & Iron
Deficiencies in these three nutrients are far more common than most people realise, and they can quietly affect your energy, immunity, mood and performance long before they become obvious. Knowing exactly where your levels sit means you can take action based on your biology — not guesswork.
Bone & Muscle
Strong bones and healthy muscles depend on getting the right minerals in the right amounts. Calcium and magnesium work together to support bone density, nerve signalling and muscle function, while creatine kinase shows how much physical stress your muscles have been under — particularly valuable if you train hard or are managing a heavy workload.
HbA1c
HbA1c gives you a three-month average of your blood sugar levels — a far more reliable picture of how your body is managing glucose than a single-point reading. It's one of the most important early indicators of insulin resistance and type 2 diabetes risk, at a stage when lifestyle changes can genuinely make a difference.
Cortisol
Cortisol is your primary stress hormone — essential for regulating energy, managing inflammation and keeping your blood sugar stable. But when it's chronically elevated through overwork, under-recovery or sustained pressure, it can affect everything from your sleep and weight to your immune function and heart health. Knowing your levels is the first step to understanding what stress is actually doing to your body.
Getting the insights you need to improve your health has never been easier.

It takes 5 minutes to collect a small sample of blood from your finger tip. Post it back to our labs using the Tracked-24 envelope included in your kit.

You will receive your Results within 2 working days in the Forth app, along with the doctors comment and detailed report.

The detailed report makes it easy to identify areas that need improving, make changes and track your progress.
Men are significantly less likely than women to seek medical help proactively — and the consequences show up in the data.
Cardiovascular disease, type 2 diabetes and prostate cancer are among the leading causes of preventable death in UK men, and all three are conditions where early visibility meaningfully changes outcomes.
The decade from 40 to 50 is when the foundations of long-term health are either strengthened or quietly eroded. Testosterone begins its gradual decline. Cardiovascular risk accelerates. Markers like PSA, HbA1c and cortisol start to carry more clinical weight than they did in your 30s.
This test does not just tell you where you stand. It gives you 6 health scores, plain-language explanations and personalised next steps — so you are acting on facts, not assumptions.

What does the Men's 40+ Complete Health Check measure?
It measures 32 biomarkers across the areas most relevant to men’s health from 40 onwards: hormones (testosterone and oestradiol), prostate
health (PSA), adrenal function (cortisol), thyroid function (TSH and Free T4), cardiovascular health, liver and kidney function, bone and muscle health, immune health and nutritional status. You receive 6 Healthcoach Scores that translate your results into clear priorities and next steps — a connected picture of your health, not just a list of numbers.
Why is PSA included, and what does an elevated result mean?
PSA (Prostate Specific Antigen) is a protein produced by the prostate gland. Measuring it is the most widely used way to screen for changes in prostate health. An elevated PSA does not mean you have prostate cancer — it can be raised by a number of causes including a benign
enlarged prostate or inflammation. Every set of results is reviewed by one of our doctors. If your result is outside the reference range, we will recommend you discuss it with your GP, who can advise on whether further investigation is needed.
Do I need to collect my sample at a specific time?
Yes. This test includes cortisol, which must be collected within 3 hours of waking. Cortisol follows a daily rhythm and is at its peak in the morning — collecting outside this window will affect your result. We also recommend collecting your sample before eating for the most
consistent cholesterol, blood sugar and hormone results.
Is there anything I should avoid before collecting my sample?
Yes. In the 48 hours before testing, avoid strenuous exercise, ejaculation and any prostate examination — all of these can temporarily elevate your PSA result. Collect your sample in the morning before eating, and make sure you are normally hydrated beforehand.
I take testosterone therapy. Can I still take this test?
Yes, but there are two things to be aware of. First, your results will need to be interpreted in the context of your treatment — exogenous
testosterone affects both total testosterone and oestradiol levels, so please note in your Forth account that you are on TRT so your results can be contextualised appropriately. Second, if you apply testosterone as a gel or cream, do not use the finger-prick collection method. Residual testosterone on the skin can contaminate your sample and skew your result, even after handwashing. Please select the venous blood draw option at checkout.
Do I need to fast before taking this test?
We recommend taking your sample in the morning before eating. This gives you the most consistent results, particularly for your cholesterol,
blood sugar and hormone markers.
What happens if a result comes back outside the normal range?
Every set of results is reviewed by one of our doctors before it reaches you. If anything falls outside the normal range, it will be flagged clearly with a plain-language explanation and a recommended next step. Forth is not a diagnostic service, but your results — reviewed by a clinician and explained in plain language — give you and your GP something specific and concrete to work from.
My GP has not suggested I need any of these tests. Why would I do this?
NHS testing for men in their 40s is typically reactive — triggered by symptoms or specific risk factors. Forth is built for something different: understanding where your health stands before problems appear, not after. A baseline result now gives you and your GP a clear reference point. And the health scores and personalised next steps you receive mean you are never just looking at a list of numbers — you are looking at a picture of your health that you can actually act on.
How often should I retest?
We recommend retesting annually as a minimum. If any markers are borderline — particularly PSA, testosterone, HbA1c or lipids — your GP or
clinician may recommend a shorter interval. That is where the monitoring really earns its value: not one snapshot, but a series of results that show you whether things are improving, holding steady, or starting to shift.
How soon will the test arrive?
If you order your test before midday on a Monday to Friday then your kit will be dispatched the same day.
All our kits are sent out via Royal Mail Tracked24, so it should be with you within 1-2 working days.
How secure is my data?
We have strict processes in place to ensure the protection of your data. Following GDPR the company also operates under tight legal rules about the sharing of data which ensures that data is only shared if it is crucial to the delivery of our service. For example, our doctors see customer results at the time of review, however, after review, access to results is withdrawn.

Can I have someone take my blood for me?
Yes. We offer two options if you do not want to do our finger prick test. The first is a home appointment where a nurse comes to your home to take a blood sample. The second is to visit a Phlebotomy clinic near you that offers a blood sample service.
A blood sample will be taken from your vein and we will provide you with everything you need to give to the nurse to allow them to take the sample.
The nurse will give you the blood sample to return to us using the pre-paid envelope provided.
Does a doctor review my results?
We have a team of doctors and nurses who look at all results and will comment on any results that are outside of the normal range for your age.
Can I download the results to share with my GP?
Yes, you can download your results from your health dashboard as a PDF to share with your GP.
